Valle Las Trancas

Valle Las Trancas is a beautiful wooded valley at the base of the Chillán Volcano. Las Trancas itself is a small, unspoiled village, and it's the last village before you reach the ski resort of Termas de Chillán.

Las Trancas is on the main road from Chillán to Termas de Chillán. It's 65km from Chillán, and just 8km to the ski resort. The village has a number of bars, restaurants and small supermarkets. Most people stay in Las Trancas, in the cosy cabins in the woods.

During the winter the valley accommodates international skiers from all over the world, from Brazil, USA, Canada, Europe and of course Chile.

If you visit Las Trancas in the summer you´ll see it has a very family orientated feel, with mostly local Chilian families from Santiago and Concepcion visiting. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy from horse riding through the Shangri-la valley to soaking in the thermal hot springs of Valle Hermoso.
