Valley Las Trancas is a beautiful wooded valley at the base of the Chillán Volcano.
Las Trancas itself is a small, unspoiled village, and is the last village before you reach the ski resort of Nevados de Chillán and the Hotel & Casinao, Termas de Chillán.

Las Trancas is located 65km east of the town of Chillán and just 10km to the ski resort and hot springs of Nevados de Chillán.
The village has a number of bars, restaurants and small supermarkets, known as minimarkets in Chile.
The majority of Las Trancas is made up of cabins. These cabins are a mix of comercial and private.
Most people stay in cabins in Las Trancas while visiting the area.

If you visit Las Trancas in the summer you´ll see it has a very family orientated feel, with mostly local Chilean families from Santiago and Concepcion visiting. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy from horse riding though the Shangri-la valley to soaking in the thermal hot springs of Valle Hermoso.

During the winter the valley spends most of the time covered in a blanket of snow, making it a skier´s paradise.
International skiers from all over the world, from Brazil, USA, Canada, Europe and of course Chile stay in Las Trancas and ski Nevados de Chillán and Termas de Chillán.
